Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Awesome midnight snack, love it that they are open late for moments like these. Ordered a calzone, they said it would be 45 min, no prob. They got to my house in lisle in 30 min :D driver had trouble finding my house at 12:50 am, understandable since he told me he never delivered this far. Awesome service, food, delivery, employees. Food was amazing! Will most definitely order from here again. :) very satisfied.

The food was excellent and the delivery arrived 10mins before the scheduled time! This is our new favorite pizza!!!

Awful. I created this yelp account specifically for this review. I'm in the service industry and I understand the late night (after midnight) demand for pizza. I get it. But i placed an order online and waited 2 hours only to call (4 times, might I add) and realize that they don't deliver to my area. The gentleman, who I don't fault, said he called and left a message, but I've been next to my phone since I placed the order online with the same phone and never received any message. Poorly informative for a pizza quality that is only good because you're the only one who delivers afyer 1 AM. I will not be ordering from you again and opting for a simple Digiornos because it might not be delivery but at least I know I'll get it.

Have been ordering from this place for years but never again. Ordered a meatball calzone and it was delivered minus the meatballs. Called and they said we would get a credit upon our next visit. Ordered and did not receive the credit but the food was good. Ordered again and asked for a lite baked, extra cheese and it came burnt and had no mozzarella cheese at all, only cheddar. We're done. Plenty of better places to order from.

late night, hungry, didn't feel like driving so ordered a cheese pizza from here. At that hour and my laziness, couldnt complain with the food =) It's not revolutionary food but at 1 AM it might just taste like it ha. Have also tried their cheese w/ strawberry sauce( costs extra for sauce ha) and it was really good. Worth a try if you're deciding to order from here. Cheers

This is the worst pizza I have ever ordered. Ordered thin crust. Arrived cold, overdone and just terrible. I have had frozen pizza that is superior. Really really bad. Gonna tear up the menu so I don't mistakenly order from this place again.
(1)Linh L.
This is for the one and only pizza I really like... Their cheese bonanza! The office always orders 3 large gourmet pizzas, but when we order the cheese bonanza, we clear the box instantly. It tastes like lasagna without the meat and pasta.
(5)Rita K.
Great place for lunch delivery to our office in Oak Brook. Everyone LOVES the food, ordering online is quick and easy and delivery updates are emailed. Our new favorite go to for lunch, Free delivery is awesome - we just tip the driver a little extra :D
(5)Sara T.
Worst pizza and service I have ever had. Delivery people are the worst. Don't know how to do their job and deliver the wrong food. I think I have met smarter 10 year olds.
(1)Sara R.
My friend and I called and ordered one of their pizzas this evening for delivery. We paid over the phone.... they said it would take 45 min. No prob. Over 1 hr later called to see and they said, oh it's been delivered already. Really? Cause you didn't deliver it to me. So the guy said he would make another and deliver it himself. Another 30 min he said. 45 min later it finally showed up. No apology or coupon. Thanks. Well at least the pizza tasted good.
(1)Mike N.
For what they are, they are top of the line. On time, well prepared. Courteous drivers. Late night gets it a bonus. Order one up, can't go wrong. Personally I do a pizza with pepperoni, sometimes without sauce and always order creamy garlic on the side to dip. It's not my favorite pizza, but it is my late go-to commonly. It will satisfy and you won't be disappointed!
(5)Graciela S.
Okay so I tried to give this place a second chance mostly because they spammed me with fliers in my mailbox. On the plus side their online ordering option is easy. The negative was that it was a soggy calzone tasteless and there were these hard chunky pieces. I'm seriously just done. Ughhhh
(1)Kathee G.
In town for work, ordered delivery to my hotel. Service was very fast, ordered on the mobile site which was easy! Got a hot turkey sandwich which was amazing and a piece of cheesecake. Great food, fast delivery, reasonable price!
(5)Mo S.
Horrible service!!!!!! Ordered a medium pizza to my hotel a few miles away. Waited an hour and when I called them they said they didn't even have an order out for me. Had problems with them before as well but this took the cake. Horrible horrible service. Drivers in the past demanded more tip as well even when they showed up much later than expected. The pizza is mediocre and it's open late but would never order from these guys for carry out. When I called the manager didn't even compensate or even seem apologetic. It wasn't even a problem with the hotel because I just ordered with them the night before.
(1)Michelle F.
Wow. I love this place, great calzones (Highly recommend BYOB calzones, and the tiramisu. they are great!) Free delivery, open until 3am. If you order from their website you earn loyalty points and get 15% off your order. All the delivery people are nice as well!! I recommend this place to all of my friends!
(5)Gregory G.
Ordered and told 45 to 60 minutes. Called after 90 minutes and was told if left 15 earlier and would be about 8 minutes. Another 40 minutes passed and no delivery. Called and canceled.

Had Sarpino's today as a group lunch at work. This pizza just is not good and is not worth your time or money, considering there are pizza places on every corner within the same price range. Some guys at work raved about the BLT pizza. I thought it was terrible. No cheese and barely any tomatoes. I didn't detect any kind of sauce. I know there should be mayo on it, but the crust was rather dry. The cheese pizza was better, but I'd compare Sarpino's to Little Caesar's or Chuck E. Cheese pizza. Their online ordering system is efficient, and pizza was delivered 15 minutes EARLY. Try Lou Malnati's or Armand's instead.
(2)Andrew B.
Not bad but not good is a good way to sum this place up. Ordered pizza for a work lunch from the Downer's Grove location ... 4 miles at lunchtime might be a bit of a stretch, the pizza wasn't exactly hot when it arrived. Topping coverage (full pepperoni, half bacon+garlic) was a bit sparse ... topping quality was middling to average. Far from the worst crust I've had around here, but far from the best as well. I'll take it over Rosati's but find Addante's to be better, so far. Also, a bit pricey. Would give them a 2.5 if Yelp did half-stars.
(2)Patty S.
2 stars for their variety of pizzas. I think some of them are a little over-the-top: Super Taco, Chicken Bonanza, etc. Seriously, what's the difference between the specialty pizzas and the gourmet pizzas? Can you just have a few and make them REALLY GOOD as opposed to having twenty that are just so-so? 3 stars for their crispy salads. Nothing really special about them other than they offer Romaine lettuce, not the usual iceberg. 2 stars for their online ordering. Although it's so convenient to order online, their website does not provide the coupons you receive on your doorstep. So, if you want the good deals, you have to order via phone. Their plain cheese is good; however this place is pricer than most. Why bother?
(2)Jeff K.
So what does a family from Brooklyn eat for their first meal in the Chicago area .... Pizza. Why? Cause it was there, we were hungry and they deliver to the hotel. We ordered a Cheese Bonanza and a Triple Cheese sandwich. The sandwich was on a crisp seeded Italian bread. Our kid ruled it not a grilled cheese and didn't touch it. Be forewarned :) We were a little split on the pie. For me it was good but not great. My wife however liked it more. I do understand why. The combo of cheese worked. It was creamy and zesty. The sauce was chunky and a bit spicy and sweet. We'd go back but may find a deli for our son's meal of choice. I am sure though we will find a more hardcore pizza shop.
(3)Osiris V.
Icky Icky poo!! I know I sound like a 5 year old, but that's what I felt like when I started eating this pizza. Like I was at Chuckie Cheese or back at my elementary school cafeteria. This might fly with a kid but not with me. Anyways, I thought, hey I can order online, how cool! So I did, I built my own pizza and paid for it online. 45 minutes later the delivery guy was there. I was excited being that Sunday is Pizza night. I signed my check and tipped the guy. Opened the box and found my 10" pizza was burned first of all, second of all it looked super tiny, like it could feed 1 person, there was 2 of us! Tried pulling it apart but like Brooke H said, we had to tear apart the pieces since it wasn't cut through. It was chewy pizza and I did not like. I will NOT be trying this again, even if their pan pizza is suppose to be good. I'd rather eat a frozen Digiorno's for $7 dollars. I guess that's whay I get for ordering from a chain pizza place.
(1)Danielle M.
Absolutely disgusting and over priced. Greasy cheese and meats and poor quality for how much they charge. I could not believe we paid $20 for a large un-edible pizza. We will never go back, rather go to Lou Malnatis and get a big quality pizza for the same price that I wont hate my self for buying.
(1)John T.
I get the same thing every time, pepperoni pizza with extra cheese and jalapeno ranch dipping sauce. The good- *Their jalapeno ranch is awesome, they finely shred the jalapenos into the ranch unlike the north aurora store which just chops huge pieces of jalapenos and throws it in the ranch...trust me it makes a huge difference if you like ranch with some spice. *They always load my extra cheese pizza with a great amount of cheese, no skimping. The bad- *They don't offer the "Taste the difference" coupon, which makes the price $4-6 more when you order online. *Theyre not exactly fast after 11PM, you may have to wait an hour or more. Overall a good choice for tasty food especially late night when you dont wanna go out, lots of salad choices too.
(4)Riley S.
if i could give 0 stars, i would!!! if you are drunk and it's too late to call dominos (on belmont and maple, which is fast and amazing) take the dui risk and drive to taco bell on 75th. this pizza sucks!!! and the douche that answers the phone, mike sucks worse than the blt pizza i ordered that was cheese and bacon only. so... maybe i could fall back on the hot wings i ordered...nope. those were rubber w aldi hot sauce. don't waste your time or money!!!! yuck yuck yuck!!!!
(1)Kamilah S.
The pizza is great, the crust is nice and chewy and it comes with a dipping sauce. The spicy and the bbq wings, SUCK!!!! first of all, they are frozen, pre-seasoned wings and they are baked. They are pretty much the Tyson wingettes, you can get from Jewel or Sam's club. the spicy wings were not spicy and the bbq wings had no bbq sauce, WTH. THey looked good, but they were real fatty and not good at all. If you order on-line you save 10%.
(4)Josh M.
How hard can you be on a place that is willing to deliver a taco pizza to you at 4am? Seriously I can't hold too much against them. It's not gonna be Lou's or Gio's so what is everybody complaining about. I agree its not the best pizza in the area but at the hour you most likely are going to be ordering it I hope like hell you are either stoned out of your goard or have the drunken munchies. In either case I assure you that they have every disgusting and delicious topping you could ever want on a pizza. I just stared picking my way through the menu trying the italian, midnight, santa fe, and the taco. All of them were done half and half which is nice if you just want to try a couple slices or each. Both times the pizza was still hot and delivered within a reasonable time. Also the cheesy breadsticks are like pokey sticks if anyone out there knows what im talking about its a good thing. Overall pretty good for some late night pizza and its a reasonable price. Order online and you even get 10% off.
(3)Ann B.
At first they delivered fast, timely, hot, delishishness custom ordered food. But the last two orders have been the pits. Serious......pitness!!!! Today takes the cake. I ordered a BBQ chicken gourmet pizza with sauce on the side cause the veges on that thang are the cats pajamas. I was delivered a BBQ sauce with cheese pizza with extra sauce on the side. No freaking veges anywhere. I wish I was kidding. I even bit into this crap shot of a "gourmet" pizza because I was in shock and denial. I called back with pizza still in my mouth ready to box. I was so pissed and wasn't in the mood for I'm sorry, blah, blah blah's the apologies rolled out like hot cakes and the "manager" sent over a new pizza. Listen.....I know I sound mean and insane but I am a hair stylist and former 8+ year server....I eat when I can, sometimes that includes when I'm cutting my client's hair....well maybe not but still it's not an relaxing sport here. I'm a foodie and need the ambiance whever I can take it!!!!!! I want to eat when I can and wherever I can and i need it right! I'm sorry, it's just the way it is. Well currently I have a $25 credit on my "Sarpinos" account. So yah.. When I did get my pizza I must say....it was so delish. Mr. Delivery guy came in and delivered the pizza and didn't even wait for me to say thank you....I think I sensed fear???? Don't judge, I was hungry!!!! But I was salty and still am so I called to grump out some more. The manager was understanding and offered me a $25 credit to my account. We'll see how this pans out..... Pizza was freaking good....when they didn't screw it up.....to be continued.......

My second job is at a tax office, so we are stressed and hungry a lot. We ordered from here one night, I had never had pizza from here before, and it was great. I went to pick up the pizza, I was early, it was ready. Awesome. The guy behind the counter was building pizza boxes like a maniac, so that was cool to see. They even held the door for me on the way out! I loved the pizza, as it is one of the few opportunities to talk and not just be bogged down in W-2's, 1099's, and assembling portfolios (which I actually enjoy but... it is tiresome). We were laughing and nomming and it was a great enjoyable stress free oasis in our long day. I think my boss is regretting introducing me to this place, because I want to go back and have them be so nice to me again! Very good experience.
(5)Chris F.
Not bad but not good. I had the house special. They have a hard time recognizing street names on the phone, and I was put on hold for about five minutes. It was during Monday night football and some really bad weather. It took them 80minutes to get me a pie less than 2 miles away. Dont order hungry. I hear some of the other style pizzas are better. ****update, the Mediterranean is unique and good.
(3)Corley S.
Love the pizza open late will deliver virtually anywhere locally. Prices are decent and every item is virtually customizable to your liking, online ordering and free delivery. Go Sarpinos!!!!!
(5)Michelle B.
If you want decent/good pizza go somewhere else. Their pizza blows! If you like greasy, cafeteria type pizza this is the place for you.
(1)Kevin G.
It's not Giordano's, Gino's east, Lou malnatis or Nancy's. Sarpinos does have a great regular crust pizza with lots of flavor. Their spinach and sausage pizza is great, not phenomenal but great. Most times we try something new and like it, unless it's just a bad combo lol. Their wings are also delicious, both bbq and hot. However don't expect greatness like crosstown wings. My fiancée, her family and I order Sarpinos frequently and have NEVER been disappointed. They lose a star Because its not the most amazing pizza in the world, but you don't need the best all the time. On line ordering is amazing. You can choose what toppings how much of each topping from light to triple, sauce, crust etc.... I don't know why people would compare it to horrible pizzas like chuck E-cheese, pizza hut etc. They don't even offer the customization Sarpinos does, and quality doesn't even compare to Sarpinos. Overall, a great delivery option for a family pizza night.
(4)Shelly N.
Ordered online for a deliver after an hour I call and they have no order. Instead of explaining to me that they did not receive the order they get back on the phone and ask what I want to order. They do not give me anything for THEIR screw up and want me to place another order and wait another 45 minutes. Very bad customer service!!!
(1)Wes W.
Love the late night delivery. Just flew into Downers Grove a couple hours ago and sat in my hotel wondering what to eat. Everywhere was closed and I found this place so hurray hurrah. I ordered a medium midnight express because I found the name so appropriate for my situation. It came in about 30-40 minutes...not too bad. Spicy ground beef salami pepperoni spicy sausage jalapenos and red chili peppers over some cheese. Its like a meat lovers pizza from hell. 10% off the already decent price if you order online too.
(2)Ray T.
Decent pizza, but a bit spicier than we like. We ordered a sausage/mushroom pizza with pepperoni on 1/2 and 1/2 onion. The amount of toppings was pretty good, but a bit more of the onions would have been nice. We ordered online, got the 10% off as advertised. We had some other coupons, but didn't see anyplace on the online site that would allow us to enter those items. We opted for e-mail notification. We got 2 e-mails - processing order, then out for delivery. The pizza arrived hot. The crust needed a little extra cutting. We will order from here again, but there are better places around (e.g. Barone's, L&F Pizza). I really dislike there method of advertising -- leaving frequent fliers on my door.
(3)Robert S.
I placed in order over grubhub.com and the pizza was over 2.5 hours late. They compensated a bit by giving us a free pizza which was nice. However, the pizza is nothing special and little more expensive than I would expect for pizza of this quality. I would only recommend ordering this pizza late night since they are one of the few places open late in Des Plaines.
(2)Thor V.
Ordered an xl pizza which was the size of a standard medium to large elsewhere. I think the pizza was $15-16 but after I added 3 toppings, my total jumped to about $24. I was willing to pay the price since it was the only place that would deliver really late. I have never had such a salty pizza before. I usually eat pretty salty foods, but this was just too much. I was starving but I only managed to get one slice down. I'm not sure if the bacon or pepperoni made it salty or whether or not it was the sauce or crust. I will definitely not be ordering from them again if I'm in the Chicago area.
(2)Tammy D.
Let me preface this with I have NOT had their pizza, however, the reason for the review is their delivery drivers....I witnessed one cut off a driver nearly causing a multi car accident! Then several weeks later my sister calls me very shaken up because she was cut off by one of their drivers. She had to swerve to avoid getting hit and ended up off the road with her 2 year old in the car! I understand people want to get their food fast, but there's a fine line between fast and reckless, these drivers are reckless!
(1)Zach D.
I really was not impressed with Sarpinos, it's very similar to Dominos, Little Caesars, Papa Johns etc. Nothing had a distinct flavor, it just didn't work for me. Your better off going to a real pizza shop honestly. It's actually really expensive too if you don't have coupons.
(2)Joy M.
Yummy pizza, decent prices and free delivery. Add in the fact that you can order online and I'm sold! We haven't tried their thin crust pizza yet but the pan pizza is delicious. The sauce is very good too, not too sweet and not too spicy.
(4)Philip R.
I am quite picky about my pizza and I have to say I am impressed. I had a hard time choosing through their menu with all the unique recipes they have. I decided on 2 pizzas with really off ingredients on a pizza that I have never had before. The first, the bacon cheeseburger pizza, why? Because of on ingredient....pickles.....I HATE pickles, and I must say that this pizza made me fall in love with them. The second? The Bacon Lettuce and Tomato pizza, why? Because of mayo being the primary sauce ingredient, as well as the fresh lettuce and tomato topping, impressively savory! It's been a while since a pizza has taken my taste buds to paradise....you owe it to yourself to eat this!

I don't know why people would compare it to horrible pizzas like chuck E-cheese, pizza hut etc. They don't even offer the customization Sarpinos does, and quality doesn't even compare to Sarpinos. Overall, a great delivery option for a family pizza night.

Ordered online for a deliver after an hour I call and they have no order. Instead of explaining to me that they did not receive the order they get back on the phone and ask what I want to order. They do not give me anything for THEIR screw up and want me to place another order and wait another 45 minutes. Very bad customer service!!!

Wow. I love this place, great calzones (Highly recommend BYOB calzones, and the tiramisu. they are great!) Free delivery, open until 3am. If you order from their website you earn loyalty points and get 15% off your order. All the delivery people are nice as well!! I recommend this place to all of my friends!

Why bother?

The food was excellent and the delivery arrived 10mins before the scheduled time! This is our new favorite pizza!!!

Love the pizza open late will deliver virtually anywhere locally. Prices are decent and every item is virtually customizable to your liking, online ordering and free delivery. Go Sarpinos!!!!!

If you want decent/good pizza go somewhere else. Their pizza blows! If you like greasy, cafeteria type pizza this is the place for you.

I really was not impressed with Sarpinos, it's very similar to Dominos, Little Caesars, Papa Johns etc. Nothing had a distinct flavor, it just didn't work for me. Your better off going to a real pizza shop honestly. It's actually really expensive too if you don't have coupons.

Yummy pizza, decent prices and free delivery. Add in the fact that you can order online and I'm sold! We haven't tried their thin crust pizza yet but the pan pizza is delicious. The sauce is very good too, not too sweet and not too spicy.

Ughhhh

Great place for lunch delivery to our office in Oak Brook. Everyone LOVES the food, ordering online is quick and easy and delivery updates are emailed. Our new favorite go to for lunch, Free delivery is awesome - we just tip the driver a little extra :D

Worst pizza and service I have ever had. Delivery people are the worst. Don't know how to do their job and deliver the wrong food. I think I have met smarter 10 year olds.
